MELAKA: The historical state has a new slogan to replace its previous catchphrase - 'Don't Mess with Melaka'.
MELAKA: The historical state has a new slogan to replace its previous catchphrase -"Don't Mess with Melaka".The new slogan will replace the old catchphrase on the signboards in Melaka.
Chief Minister Datuk Sulaiman Md Ali announced the new slogan, saying that it is in line with the transformation that is being planned by the state government to make Melaka a prosperous state. Sulaiman added that"Melakaku Maju Jaya" denotes the state's drive to continue to prosper, be competitive and efficient as well as to fulfill key performance index .
In 2013, the then Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron had come up with the"Don't Mess with Melaka" slogan, aimed at instilling discipline in the community to preserve cleanliness and boost the tourism industry.The slogan was replaced with"Melaka Berwibawa" by Idris's successor Adly Zahari in 2018.
