NSTnation Melaka Chief Minister Adly Zahari loses his job
State government secretary Datuk Seri Hashim Hasan in a statement said the Yang di-Pertua Negeri had received a representation that Adly had lost the confidence of the majority of the state assembly members.
He said based on Article 7 of the Melaka State Constitution, the Melaka Chief Minister as such should step down from the state executive council. Hashim said the Yang di-Pertua Negeri by virtue of Article 7 would appoint from the state assembly a member who has the confidence of the majority as the next Chief Minister.
