Actor Mel Gibson discusses the impact of the recent wildfires on his Malibu home and neighborhood, expressing both relief and sadness over the loss of personal belongings.

Gibson, who lived on the cliffside property for 15 years, said he felt uneasy during his interview with Rogan because he knew his neighborhood was on fire. He flew to Austin, Texas, where Rogan films, at the beginning of the week when the winds were picking up. While relieved his home wasn't destroyed, he lamented the loss of personal belongings. He compared the destruction to Dresden and said he still isn't sure whether he wants to rebuild or sell the land where his Malibu mansion once stood.

The uncontained wildfires have burned nearly 30,000 acres, destroying thousands of homes and businesses and killing at least seven people
