Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are taking a stand.
The pair announced on Sunday that they would no longer engage with the papers in letters reportedly sent to each outlet's editor. ET has reached out to Meghan and Harry's reps for comment.
"This policy is not about avoiding criticism. It's not about shutting down public conversation or censoring accurate reporting. Media have every right to report on and indeed have an opinion on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, good or bad. But it can’t be based on a lie," the statement said. The statement said that Meghan and Harry have watched both people they know and complete strangers"have their lives completely pulled apart for no good reason, other than the fact that salacious gossip boosts advertising revenue."
