No ticket matched all the winning Mega Millions numbers last night, pushing the top prize for Friday's drawing to $940 million.

drawing of 2023 on Tuesday ended the same as the previous 22 — without a top prize winner, bumping the top prize for the lottery game to an estimated $940 millions.

The cash option for Friday’s drawing will be worth at least $483.5 million. If someone wins it would be the sixth largest in U.S. lottery history and the fourth biggest Mega Millions prize. Though there were no second-prize tickets sold in New Jersey, six were bought across the country for the $785 million drawing. Tickets purchased in Maryland, Texas and Virginia are worth $1 million each, while tickets bought in Arizona, Mississippi and South Dakota are worth $4 million apiece because the winners each spent an extra $1 for the Megaplier option. All six tickets matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball.
