Most candidates do not support expanding charter schools in San Francisco. But some say select charter schools have narrowed equity gaps.

Looking at ’21-’22 outcomes, KIPP and Mission Prep, who primarily serve Black and Brown students from low-income families, have performed well in Math and English Language Arts scores compared to peer SFUSD schools.
