It seems like these mechanics always have something up their sleeve and are experts at taking the mundane and making it extraordinary. In this special episode, they get a car to run on a hamster wheel.
The concept did not emerge from nowhere. They had recently installed bike pedals in a car and had ridden it around town like a bicycle, pedaling as fast as they could. It seems this was not cooky enough for them and they decided to take it a step further and actually ride the car with a gigantic hamster wheel that could be run by a human.
How did they fit the huge hamster wheel in the car? How efficient was the wheel at getting the car to move? How effectively could they guide the car’s direction with the wheel? How safe was this experiment? This video answers all these questions and more.
