Me Enloteces Owner Aidee Del Villar speaks with Brayon Perez and Leslie Lorenzo as they wait for their order in Dallas, Texas on July 12, 2024., the Dallas elote stand that became a social media sensation by offering everything in pink, has debuted a new fixed location in
With nearly 18,000 followers on Instagram, this small elote shop had offered its food in Dallas and other cities at a mobile stand for months. Now, they have an establishment with a patio at 111 N. Bishop Ave., in Dallas.“It fills my heart so much to see our customers come in and sit down to enjoy their afternoon with friends or family,” said Aidee Del Villar, owner of.
In six months, thanks to social media, Me Enloteces went from just another pop-up offering elotes to a phenomenon that attracts dozens of people every day to try their food. When they were a pop-up, people would line up for up to 45 minutes in 100-degree heat to get their hands on a Taki-elote, a salchi-elote or a “chorreada.”Although Del Villar and her husband, Jesus Perez, dreamed of having a fixed establishment, they fast-tracked the process to avoid permitting issues for selling on the street.“Pop-ups will always be the best thing ever happening to us. They’re not easy, but that’s what makes you stronger and persevere,” Del Villar said.
