“Once you go through there and disrupt nature, you can’t go back,” Friendsville Town Council president Pamela S. Humberson said. She said that Garrett Trails and the two lawmakers who lined up the money last year — Beitzel and former state Sen. George Edwards — had not done a good job informing the town’s leaders or the public about what they were up to. She said all six council members, including herself, were unanimous in their support of Schlosnagle’s letter.
