Friendsville’s declaration comes as opponents of the bike trails plan feel momentum shifting their way, following the election of Gov. Wes Moore.

“Once you go through there and disrupt nature, you can’t go back,” Friendsville Town Council president Pamela S. Humberson said. George Edwards — had not done a good job informing the town’s leaders or the public about what they were up to. She said all six council members, including herself, were unanimous in their support of Schlosnagle’s letter.
