THE movement-control order is showing some signs of containing the Covid-19 outbreak in Malaysia, based on the total number of active versus projected cases, Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said. The director-general of health said active cases as of today number 2,462, which are receiving treatment in isolation, and this is not far off from a previous Health Ministry projection of 2,033 active cases by April 14. “We advise the public to continue assisting the government in efforts to break the chain of Covid-19 infections by staying at home and practising social distancing of at least 1m and to regularly wash their hands,” he said at the daily press briefing on Covid-19 today.
On the other end, Perlis and Kedah saw no new infections. Terengganu and Perak saw one new infection each while Kelantan, Putrajaya and Labuan saw two new infections each. – April 11, 2020.
