MCO: Perak govt opens second homeless transit centre

State Women Development, Family and Social Welfare Committee chairman Datuk Dr Wan Norashikin Wan Nordin said the cubicle-based centre at the Badminton Arena with the current capacity to house 77 people, was also established to prevent the group from becoming another Covid- 19 cluster. “There are now two homeless transit centres in Perak, the first one is in Kamunting, Taiping, which has placed about 15 people since last week,” she said when met by reporters after visiting the centre here today.
