JOHOR BARU: The Johor National Security Council (NSC) operation centre has received an average of between 80 and 100 calls per day since the movement control order (MCO) started on March 18.
State health and environment committee chairman R. Vidyananthan said the NSC started its operation when the first Covid-19 case was detected in Johor in February.“Its function is to plan and carry out work pertaining to the MCO as well as handling enquiries and complaints from the public in Johor and other states about MCO, ” he said in a statement here Monday .
He added this comprise 284 doctors and 819 nurses, with the rest being nursing healthcare, environmental healthcare, and public healthcare assistants, as well as drivers. “We have nine other hospitals that have been tasked with handling other cases apart from Covid-19, ” he said. “We also have 10 district health offices, 98 health clinics, 261 rural health and 33 community clinics, and two haemodialysis centres throughout the state that provide healthcare services to more than three million Johoreans, ” he said.
