Eugene Botha - who is both McKenzie's and the PA's strategic advisor and lawyer, as well as the PA's national head of legal affairs - first told News24 this week that the funds raised at the event would be treated as donations to McKenzie's party and declared to the Electoral Commission of South Africa . The event was billed as a fundraiser to improve service delivery in the Central Karoo.
