Donald Trump and Joe Biden will face off in the first presidential debate of 2024 Thursday. Contributing columnist William McKenzie offers five questions that would lead to a better discussion than last time the two debated.Now that we know President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump will square off in debates on June 27 and Sept. 10, here are five questions moderators should consider for them:in the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, 2023.
The creation, flow, and management of information and development of new technologies like artificial intelligence are essential to the world economy. The extent to which we can lead in these areas will shape the economy as much as our manufacturing and industrial prowess. In the right hands, for example, AI offers a new way to make services like health care work more efficiently.
Outside of Biden eliminating some student debt, and Trump emphasizing school choice in his four years, education has not been their signature issue. At least not like it was for Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush.
How would Biden answer this set of questions? Outside of following through on Trump’s presidential decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan, he largely has emphasized America’s role in the world and alliances like NATO.
