The McCollum High School Cowboy Marching Band will be the honor band for Fiesta San Antonio 2025, leading the Fiesta Flambeau Parade on May 3rd.
The excitement is building for Fiesta San Antonio 2025, and the McCollum High School Cowboy Marching Band is taking center stage! President James Fenimore has announced that the Cowboys will be his honor band for the 2025 parade, which will light up the streets of San Antonio on May 3. “I’m thrilled to name the Cowboys as my honor band . Our family ties are deep. Both my wife and son attended McCollum, and I served as president of the All Sports Booster Club for four years.
Go Cowboys!” shared Fenimore on his Facebook page. McCollum High School has a rich tradition of excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. The Cowboy Marching Band, known for its electrifying performances and dedication to precision, will bring its signature energy to the parade route, captivating spectators and honoring the community it represents. The Fiesta Flambeau Parade is a dazzling celebration that has earned its place as the crown jewel of Fiesta San Antonio. Its origins date back to 1948, when Reynolds Andricks, a civil engineer and visionary, proposed a lighted night parade. Inspired by the illuminated Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans, Andricks envisioned a unique event that would reflect the culture and spirit of San Antonio. Over 200 parade entries will travel the 2.6-mile route through historic downtown San Antonio, viewed by more than 750,000 street spectators and 1 million on television
