KUALA LUMPUR, March 4 — The MCA central committee election 2023 will be held on September 24 while polling for the youth and women’s wings will be held a day earlier, party secretary general Datuk Chong Sin Woon said.“All information on the party elections will be displayed on the website http://mcape.mca.org.my for candidates’ reference,” he told a media conference at the 74th MCA party anniversary celebrations here today.
Chong said party polls will kick off with the branch-level election next month, with nominations on April 20 while elections will be held on April 29 , and branch on April 30. As for the divisional election, nominations will be held on June 1 while polling will be on June 10 and 11. “Nominations for the division youth and women’s wings posts will be held on July 27 with polling on August 5 and Aug 6 .
According to Article 167 of the MCA Constitution, party elections must be held within six months after the general election. — Bernama
