The 24-year-old remains in a contract stand-off with PSG, with the club previously reported to be hoping he would sign an extension until June 2025 or else he would be sold to the biggest bidder in this transfer window. With his current deal running until June 2024, Mbappe recently informed Les Parisiens that he has no interest in triggering the one-year extension clause included in his contract.
This was said to have infuriated the club, who do not want to lose one of the best players in the world for free in just under 12 months' time. A sensational report has now claimed that the PSG hierarchy is so desperate to retain their record goalscorer that they have presented him with a life-changing offer., the club has now tabled a €1 billion proposal for the forward in what has been described as a"lifetime" contract that would run for 10 years.
The Emir of Qatar, who essentially owns PSG, is said to have given the green light to the mammoth package, which would be the biggest in the history of sports if accepted.
