Mazda has unveiled the CX-60 Rally concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon, showcasing a sporty interpretation of the popular SUV. The concept features aggressive exterior styling cues, a performance-tuned interior, and retains the stock powerful diesel engine.
Mazda has unveiled the CX-60 Rally concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 , injecting a dose of sportitude into the midsize SUV. This unique concept is the third model to receive the Mazda Spirit Racing treatment, following the Mazda 3 and the MX-5. The CX-60 Rally boasts several eye-catching modifications both inside and out, channeling the spirit of rally cars. Visually, the concept stands out with its prominent black rear spoiler and roof-mounted scoop.
Custom front and rear skid plates, dark exterior trim, Mazda Spirit Racing emblems on the grille, and quad tailpipes at the rear add to its aggressive stance. The matte wrap featuring light gray graphics and Mazda Spirit Racing lettering, combined with contrasting orange stripes on the front fenders, completes the sporty look. Inside, the CX-60 Rally ditches its usual appointments for a more performance-oriented cabin. Recaro carbon bucket seats with six-point harnesses and a roll cage are the most significant changes, highlighting the concept's focus on track performance. Despite the sporty upgrades, Mazda has retained some comfort features, incorporating Alcantara inserts alongside the black leather upholstery. The concept rides on a new set of 20-inch black alloy wheels with a ten-spoke design, and while Mazda hasn't detailed any suspension modifications, it appears to sit closer to the ground. Upgraded braking system with six-piston calipers further enhances the performance capabilities. While a rally-themed concept might lead to speculation about a power increase, the CX-60 Rally retains its stock mild-hybrid six-cylinder turbodiesel engine. The 3.3-liter SkyActiv-D engine generates 251 hp (187 kW / 254 PS) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque, sending power to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission
