Mayor Ginther reveals 2024 Capital Budget, seeks City Council approval

Central Ohio is growing, meaning more housing and safety measures are needed for the future.

Mayor Ginther unveiled his 2024 Capital Budget proposal on Wednesday -- $1.99 billion of taxpayer money that will aid in roadways, crime-fighting and expansion projects for city facilities, and affordable housing .$3.3 million to design the new Easton police substation.$104 million to build new and affordable homes, preserve naturally occurring affordable housing and invest in permanent supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness.$31.

The 2024 budget has now been submitted to the Columbus City Council. They will hold public hearings to discuss the mayor’s proposal:Monday, July 8 at 6 p.m.
