Water concessionaires Manila Water and Maynilad have asked for an increase in their water allocation from the Angat dam from 50 cubic meters per second (cms) to 52 cms.

Water concessionaires Manila Water and Maynilad have asked for an increase in their water allocation from the Angat dam from 50 cubic meters per second to 52 cms.

MWSS Deputy Administrator Jose Dorado told GMA Integrated News that the request would be immediately relayed to the National Water Resources Board . He said it was also meant to fill up Maynilad's reservoirs so that the water distribution in the west area could return to normal. He added that the same board had earlier decided to lower the water allocation for Metro Manila to 48 cms this April stating that this was its regular allocation in the first place.
