Maynilad allots P10-B for pipe replacements in next 5 years

In a statement, Maynilad said it is targeting to replace a total of 477.2 kilometers of old, leaky pipes in line with its aim to upgrade the distribution system and reduce water losses.Once the pipe replacements are completed, the company said the total length of replaced pipes within its concession area will be 3,643 kilometers, which is 78% of the distribution system that it inherited from the government.

We are committed to upgrading our network for the benefit of our customers,” said Maynilad chief operating officer Randolph Estrellado.Maynilad said that, from January to April 2023, pipe replacements it completed were in North and South Caloocan, Quezon City, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, Manila, Pasay, Parañaque, Imus, and Muntinlupa.These activities are being fast-tracked so the company can recover more water supply in preparation for El Niño, according to the company.
