Comedian Maya Rudolph will soon be coming back to 'Saturday Night Live' to portray Vice President Kamala Harris as the race for the White House heats up.

Comedian Maya Rudolph will soon be coming back to NBC's "Saturday Night Live" to portray Vice President Kamala Harris as the race for the White House heats up., Rudolph cleared her schedule for the role, which she won an Emmy award for. The media outlet noted pre-production on Season 3 of her Apple TV+ comedy series "Loot," which was scheduled to begin filming August 26, has been paused.
Rudolph is among a handful of celebrities known for portraying politicians on SNL in recent years. Alec Baldwin and Jim Carrey have been praised for their depictions of former President as Donald Trump and Joe Biden, respectively. Harris has been in the spotlight since Biden dropped out of the race earlier this month, while Trump is running for a second term as the official GOP nominee.
