San Antonio experienced the fourth-hottest May on record, and parts of Texas saw their hottest-ever May. Here's the June outlook.
May ended up being one of the hottest on record across much of Texas. Here in San Antonio , the average high temperature was 91.2 degrees, and the average low temp was 71.9 degrees. If you put those numbers together, the overall average temperature was 81.5 degrees in the Alamo City , making last month the fourth-hottest May ever recorded in San Antonio . The second half of the month was especially hot.
Sunday’s forecast After a short break from the well-above average temperatures on Friday and Saturday, Mother Nature is about to turn up the heat once again on Sunday. San Antonio will start with a mild, muggy morning as low temps will only fall to the upper 70s. Mostly cloudy skies are anticipated in the morning, but skies will start to clear by the middle of the day. Temperatures will rise into the upper 80s by noon and reach well into the 90s during the afternoon.
