Maxis is set to accelerate cloud adoption for Malaysian businesses by leveraging the recently launched Amazon Web Services infrastructure region in the country.

By prioritising data residency, Maxis provides businesses with the peace of mind that their data is retained and managed within Malaysia, offering not only regulatory compliance but also enhanced security and reduced latency. This local infrastructure enables quicker and more reliable cloud operations, giving Malaysian businesses the ability to leverage advanced applications like artificial intelligence , generative AI, and large-scale analytics, the company stated.
In support of the recent AWS Region launch, Maxis Business is offering its own Cloud Mover programme to help kickstart cloud migration among more Malaysian businesses. Under Maxis’ Cloud Mover programme, which is available until 30 November 2024, customers who partner with Maxis Business to migrate to the cloud will benefit from free migration and up to US$2,300 in credit with six months of Direct Connect.
Additionally, as an AWS Direct Connect Partner, Maxis is able to provide businesses with private, low-latency direct network connectivity into their AWS cloud environments. Besides enhancing resiliency and security, direct connectivity enables continuous optimisation across customers’ network and cloud environments.
