Max Verstappen was able to extend his lead in the Formula 1 drivers championship after rival Lando Norris was hit was a controversial 5-second penalty after a late overtaking manoeuvrer on the defending champion.

I tried.Norris made a quick getaway at the start but was then forced wide at the uphill first corner with Verstappen gaining a place while Leclerc overtook both on the inside and Sainz followed through in third.
"For us, it was crystal clear that the pass had been made off the track so he should have given the place back," he told reporters. "I'm not complaining against them. I think it's just more the fact they don't see everything, understand everything, as well as we do when we're inside the car.".Ferrari claimed a valuable 1-2 finish in the constructors' championship race.
