Doncic posted a photo on his Instagram story with brokenhearted emojis against a “Belgrade” background soon after the news spread Wednesday of a 13-year-old meticulously gunning down the nine victims and injuring seven more people in Vladislav Ribnikar school.“I am heartbroken by the tragic school shooting in Serbia and the loss of lives, including those of innocent children. My thoughts are with the families and the entire community affected by this tragedy.
“Belgrade, I support and stand with you all during this difficult time. Through @LD77Foundation I am exploring both immediate and long-term ways to support the students, faculty, and families affected by the shooting at the Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School. “I am committed and I will continue to share updates and ways to support as details become available.Through his five NBA seasons, Doncic has bonded with fellow Balkan NBA players, including Denver Nuggets two-time MVP Nikola Jokic, and ESPN reported Doncic plans to generate involvement from others to help in the aftermath of the shooting.
