General managers around the NBA are predicting a big year for Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic. In the league’s annual GM survey, which was released on...
Doncic, whofor the honor in his career, received 48% of the votes from GMs to win it this season. Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo, a two-time MVP , placed second at 34%.
The NBA’s top brass were very high on Doncic and Antetokounmpo, also selecting them as the top two players they’d like to build a franchise around. Antetokounmpo claimed 55% of the vote, with 45% going to Doncic. On the team side of things, GMs ranked the Mavericks as the sixth best team in the Western Conference heading into next season, tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
NBA.com’s John Schuhmann compiled the league’s 21st annual survey, gathering responses on the NBA’s best teams, players, coaches, offseason moves and more prior to the 2022-23 NBA season. General managers were not allowed to vote for their own team or personnel.
