Congratulations are in order for Matty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel!The model confirmed on Instagram on Tuesday that she and the 1975 frontman are engaged. She posted two photos of her unique engagement ring to her Instagram Story, revealing a large black diamond surrounded by a halo of diamonds and set in a triple pavé band. Over one snap, she wrote, “MARRYING THE 1975 IS VERY BRAT,” a reference to the title of close friend Charli XCX’s new album.
”She continued, “I couldn’t be more thrilled. She’s from Los Angeles. She’s absolutely gorgeous. She does have a rat,” Welch added to laughter from her interviewers, explaining a photo onscreen showing her with Bechtel, holding a small gray rodent close. The pet’s name is Splinter, she said. “Anyway, we couldn’t be happier. She is everything that I would want in a daughter-in-law.
