Matthew Perry’s death certificate has been released, confirming details surrounding his passing, however the official cause of Matthew's death is still under investigation
The death certificate of Matthew Perry, the beloved star from Friends, has revealed new details about his passing. The document, which was obtained by The Blast, lists Matthew's step-father, Keith Morrison, a well-known Dateline journalist, as the informant and confirms that Matthew passed away at 4:17 p.m. PST at his LA home on October 28.
The document does reveal that Matthew was laid to rest at Forest Lawn in Los Angeles during his funeral on November 3, which was attended by his family, friends, and co-stars from Friends. At first, the police said there were no drugs found at the scene and a recent toxicology report confirmed that Matthew didn't die from an overdose of methamphetamine or fentanyl.
However, his cause of death was listed as "deferred" for now, meaning the investigation is still ongoing and needs more time to be completed.
