Matthew Juneau has been announced as the new head coach for St. Joseph (Mont.) ice hockey.

The Pirates sacked the Knights 7-2. 01/04/2023St. Joseph announced on Monday that Matthew Juneau has been named the new head coach of the boys ice hockey team.after spending 10 seasons behind the bench.

“We are delighted to welcome coach Matthew Juneau to the SJR family,” said St. Joseph athletic director Reggie Sainte-Rose in a statement. “His deep understanding of the game and passion for fostering personal growth align perfectly with our mission of developing well-rounded individuals.” Juneau has plenty of coaching experience at the club level, where he helped coach the New Jersey Rockets 08 AAA team into the national rankings. He also coached at Newburgh Free Academy and Glen rock, serving as the varsity coach at the former.

He’ll take over a Green Knights squad that has gone 4-17-2 over the past three seasons in Gordon Conference play and capped the 2022-23 campaign with a mark of 7-13-4.Logan Hughes led the team as a sophomore last season with 12 goals, 10 assists and 22 points. Another young player that is slated to return is Kyle Kondratowicz, who had eight goals and seven assists during his freshman season.The N.J.
