“Mattel was made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel Wicked collection dolls, primarily sold in the U.S., which intended to direct consumers to the official WickedMovie.com landing page,” the statement from Mattel reads. “We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this.”
The statement continues, “Parents are advised that the misprinted, incorrect website is not appropriate for children. Consumers who already have the product are advised to discard the product packaging or obscure the link and may contact Mattel Customer Service for further information.” and W. W. Denslow .
The Wicked movie predominantly unfolds in the time before Dorothy Gale arrives in the Land of Oz. It revolves around the unlikely friendship between two individuals who have contrasting destinies. One will become Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West has directed the movie from a script by Holzman and Dana Fox. Wicked will have two parts. Part 1 will debut in US theaters on November 22, 2024, and Part 2 on November 21, 2025.
