Mattel accidentally printed an adult film website on the packaging for its new ‘Wicked’ dolls instead of the film’s actual website
According to customers and photos published by the New York Post on Sunday, November 10, the toy company behind Barbie and Hot Wheels accidentally printed the address of an adult film website on the boxes for its line of Wicked dolls, featuring characters from the new film starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo from Universal Pictures.
'Mattel was made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel Wicked collection dolls, primarily sold in the U.S., which intended to direct consumers to the official WickedMovie.com landing page,' a spokesperson for Mattel told Us Weekly on Sunday. 'We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this. Parents are advised that the misprinted, incorrect website is not appropriate for children.
“Oh my dear god, Mattel accidentally listed ‘Wicked dot com’ instead of ‘Wickedmovie dot com’ on the Wicked movie doll boxes. And it seems to be on most of the boxes in the assortment ,” a second X user wrote.
