It appeared set for a 0-0 in Lanarkshire before three late goals produced one of the most bonkers endings in Scottish Premiership memory.

Sickened Motherwell were left floored as Celtic became last action heroes again after Matt O'Riley scored with the final kick of the game to snatch all three points in a 2-1 win.

Stuart Kettlewell couldn't ask for more from his players bar the finishing touch in the final third as they caused Brendan Rodgers' side plenty of problems from first minute to last. Substitute James Forrest almost scored the opener before the mayhem but passed up the chance of the game before the the £3.5m signing from Aris came up trumps.

Celtic headed into the half-time interval keenly aware they were off it but any signs of a spark were missing as it was the hosts who turned it up a notch. Firstly, Blair Spittal was a last-gasp Liam Scales flick away from turning Theo Bair's through ball goalbound but that was only the start of a strong spell. Lennon Miller had it in the net after Bevis Mugabi caused Scott Bain fits but it was ruled out for offside after a significant VAR check.

Spittal once again caused mayhem and only a big save from Bain kept it all square.
