Rattled Matt Hancock caught pulling bemused shrug when asked for ‘clarity’ on ‘confusing’ lockdown roadmap
Matt Hancock gave a defensive look this morning during a BBC interviewThe Health Secretary looked off camera after being asked to clarify the Government's lockdown planMr Hancock spent the morning batting away questions during a string of interviews aroundWhen BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin said Labour had demanded "more clarity" on how people would return to normal life, Mr Hancock gave a defensive look - appearing to be aimed at someone behind the camera.
The Health Secretary also repeatedly refused to directly answer whether people have a legal right not to go to work if they don't feel safe.He was asked the question twice during the interview, in which he said: "Well this needs to be a collaborative effort. Absolutely workplaces need to follow the guidelines on making a workplace safe for Covid, so that is very important.
