Matt Bush faces multiple charges following a hit-and-run incident involving his SUV in Arlington

Former Texas Ranger pitcher Matt Bush has been charged with driving while intoxicated in connection with a Friday night chain collision crash in Arlington in which he allegedly fled an attempted traffic stop before being involved in a multi-vehicle wreck, according to the police report.
According to the police, Bush declined to a roadside sobriety test and refused to talk to investigators about the incident. A blood test sample was taken from him for testing, according to the police report.The 2024 season was the first year Bush was no longer involved with professional baseball since the Rangers initially signed him in 2016of a great comeback story for a former top prospect, who went nearly 12 years between being the top overall pick in the amateur draft, and a big leaguer.
