Five Boksburg High learners Karabo Makgoba, Iman Cassiem, Abigail Gengadu, Mario Luca de Abreu Rodrigues and Laquita Bennett excelled in the NSC exams.
Makgoba scored six distinctions, with Cassiem obtaining five and Gengadu, Rodrigues and Bennett attaining four.“I’m still happy that I did well. I am going to study medicine at the University of Cape Town,” he said.“My sleepless nights and hard work finally paid off. I’m happy with my overall results. I was not expecting to do this. There are times when you doubt your abilities, but today I have learned that I must not doubt myself and I can do well if I work hard,” she said.
