The Matric Class of 2024 has faced myriad struggles in their high school career.
Between entering high school when lockdown struck, social distancing and disrupted learning, the cohort has somehow managed to rise above. The Department of Basic Education this week highlighted how it’s preparing for exams across the country which begin on 21st October.
On Tuesday pagers owned by members of Hezbollah exploded. The explosions killed nine people and injured over 2 000. It’s believed that the pagers housed explosive that were remotely triggered over the course of an hour. On Wednesday walkie-talkies also exploded. While Israel is believed to be behind the attack it hasn’t claimed responsibility.
