The first official trailer for Netflix's upcoming film adaptation of Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical is here, giving fans another look at the upcoming film
Roald Dahl’s Matilda the MusicalMORE: The School for Good and Evil Trailer: Choose Your Sidestars Oscar-winning actress Emma Thompson, Stephen Graham, Andrea Riseborough, Sindhu Vee, Alisha Weir, and Lashana Lynch, and is directed by the Tony Award-winning Matthew Warchus, who also directed the stage musical. The musical itself is based on the 1988 children’s novel of the same name written by Roald Dahl, as well as the 2010 musical adaptation of the book itself.
Meanwhile, Dennis Kelly’shas been running in London since 2011 and had also had a successful Broadway run from 2013-2017. The musical is set to release in select theaters on December 9, 2022. Netflix will then be releasing the film on its streaming services on December 25.“The story centers around Matilda Wormwood , a little girl with big curiosity, a sharp mind, and a vivid imagination — and the worst parents in the world,” reads the official synopsis for the film.
