In a prospective cohort study, in utero exposure to COVID-19 was not associated with abnormal neurodevelopment in children up to 2 years of age.

This prospective study aimed to assess whether in utero exposure to SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19 , is associated with abnormal neurodevelopment among children at ages 12, 18, and 24 months.

The birth mothers were required to complete the Ages & Stages Questionnaires, Third Edition , a validated screening tool for neurodevelopmental delays, at 12, 18, and 24 months postpartum.
