Nashville-based, Oregon-born multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and producer Mat Kearney is excited to announce the May 17th release of his new self-titled studio album via Middle Kid Records.
The new LP is Kearney’s first in more than three years and was produced by Kearney with help from Micah Tawkls and Marc Scibilia . Along with the album news Kearney is announcing a massive US headline tour and releasing the captivating and buoyant new single “Palisades.
“Palisades” is the third single to be released ahead of his self-titled new studio album, following “Headlights Home." Written and recorded over the past couple of years with the help of some talented friends, Kearney counts this new album as one of his most personal releases and sees it as a reflection of his two-decade long career.
It’s time I let you in on the secret of what I’ve been working on for the last 2 years. My self-titled ‘Mat Kearney’ record is coming out May 17th. I got a text from my long-time band member Phil Moore saying, ‘this record feels the most like the guy I’ve been hanging out with for the last 10 years.’ I think that sums it up. I wanted to make something honest, warm, raw, that felt like a big hug, the soundtrack for a drive into mountains, and beach hang with friends.
Over his career, Kearney has released six studio LPs, claimed the #1 spot on iTunes, topped multiple Billboard charts, made four entries into the Hot 100, amassed over 592MM on demand streams and over 2.5 BILLION global streams. Kearney has performed live on Today Show, Ellen, The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, and Jimmy Kimmel Live! and has garnered raves from USA Today, Entertainment Weekly, People, Billboard, PARADE, and Marie Claire.
