Sheridan wanted to explore what happens to her after the siege on Eternos, particularly why she is seen in falcon form.
For longtime fans, this is significant because The Sorceress appears as a falcon when outside Castle Grayskull; Sheridan used the idea that she had been expelled from the castle as a starting point for the narrative. The core story follows Orko's journey as he discovers a mysterious wounded falcon and must help heal her, embodying the theme that even the smallest can heed the call to action and walk the path of a hero.
