Fortnite fans rejoice as Master Chief is making his highly anticipated return to the battle royale game. His arrival coincides with new Cyberpunk 2077 skins and may fuel speculation for the return of Kratos from God of War.
After a period of over 900 days, Master Chief is set to return to Fortnite 's Item Shop next week on December 23rd. This return shouldn't be any different than previous appearances, featuring his skin for 1,500 V-Bucks and a larger Master Chief Bundle for 2,600 V-Bucks. This bundle will include the Master Chief skin, a Gravity Hammer pickaxe, UNSC Pelican glider, Lil’ Warthog emote, and Battle Legend back bling.
Master Chief's return coincides with new skins tied to CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 also arriving on December 23rd. This may amplify calls from PlayStation fans for God of War's Kratos to also return to the game. Kratos has been absent from Fortnite for over 1370 days, one of the longest periods without a return for any skin. Perhaps with Xbox's mascot now coming back to Fortnite, PlayStation will look to strike a deal with Epic Games that will result in Kratos making his way back to the battle royale shooter in 2025
