It's a line people hear all the time, 'I caught a fish this big.'
NEW RICHMOND, Ohio - It's a line people hear all the time, "I caught a fish this big."She'd been fishing for as long as she can remember. But, what happened on Sunday, April 7 in the backwaters of New Richmond , she never could have expected it.
"I picked up the jug and started pulling on it. It tugged real hard and I was like, 'this might be a pretty good fish.'" said Parker. "He was yanking on me and my hands were getting caught in the line. I finally got all the debris untangled from the line and I pulled him up. He rolled to his side and I just started screaming, 'this is a big fish, this is a big fish.'""I was thinking maybe this is a big fish," said Kristen.
State records aside, for this family of lifelong anglers, this experience had been nothing short of surreal. "It's just amazing to me how interested people are in this," said Parker. "I didn't think it was that big of a deal until all of these people started reaching out. Then, I was like, maybe this is a bigger deal than I thought it was."
"I'm just excited to see where this takes her," said Kristen. "This is what she loves to do, so I'm just really excited for her."
