The AFL has confirmed a twilight match at the Gabba for Brisbane’s massive Saturday of preliminary finals football.
The Lions will host Carlton from 5.15pm ahead of the NRL preliminary final between the Broncos and NZ Warriors from 7.50pm at Suncorp Stadium.As expected, Collingwood will host GWS on Friday night at the MCG. It means a six-day turnaround for the Giants, but the intensely pro-Magpies crowd will not bother them after their succession of away wins this season.GWS narrowly beat Collingwood in an MCG preliminary final in 2019 to reach their only grand final, in which they were mauled by Richmond.
