English, who surrendered to police, was found with a folding knife, two homemade firebombs, and a lighter. Investigators also found materials for making a homemade explosive device in his car. English allegedly planned to target other Republican figures like Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and House Speaker Mike Johnson, and to burn down the Heritage Foundation.
