Mass resignation at fire department after staff say they've hit a 'breaking point'

Three-fourths of the entire North College Hill Fire Department (NCHFD) is resigning.

NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio - Nearly three-quarters of a local fire department is calling it quits.

The people planning to leave the department include top-level management such as all of the chief officers, the majority of lieutenants, and senior firefighters. Fifteen staff members signed a letter to Mayor Tracie Nichols and North College Hill's City Council voicing their disappointment in leadership. The first responders said that hostile actions from the City Administrator and HR Clerk are going unchecked.

She adds that there's an investigation into the department's claims, but said the staff isn't accepting the findings.
