When the announcement of the team broke for the Bafana game against Ethiopia on Saturday, the excitement grew as Mashego was rewarded for his hard work.“Because it was my debut [game] and you know they always say the first time will always remain in your mind. So it is something that I'll forever cherish in my mind.”
“Even last season when I joined Cape Town City, I told myself that I want to play in the national team, hence I joined the club. “But what I noticed that the experience I gained in the time when I was playing in the Caf Confederation Cup with TS Galaxy really played a big role. Mashego said Belgium mentor Hugo Broos made it very easy for him to fit into his role and told him that going on the attack should be a “bonus”.
