A Maryland man fatally shot a 23-year-old man and injured a 38-year-old woman Sunday evening in York County, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Zachary T. Piccolo, 26, of Nottingham Maryland, is charged with homicide, attempted homicide, recklessly endangering another person, and aggravated assault in connection with the double shooting in Shrewsbury Township. The shooting happened around 5:15 p.m. on the 4000 block of Steltz Road in Shrewsbury Township, Coroner Pamela Gay said., Gay said. The woman was taken to WellSpan York Hospital and was in unknown condition as of Monday. State police said the man was from Shrewsbury, and the woman lives in New Freedom .
State police said the Baltimore County Police Department in Maryland helped arrest Piccolo at his home. Gay said the name of the man who died will be released once additional next of kin has been notified.
