It was tough.”Christopher Wright, 43, died Saturday after suffering a “catastrophic brain injury” from a beating outside his home.Christopher Wright with his fiancée Tracy Karopchinsky and their three children. Tracy said the kids said goodbye to him for the last time while he was comatose.
Karopchinsky said she was at work when the fight happened, and her neighbor frantically called her manager to let her know what happened. “He had severe brain damage,” she said. “The surgery lasted about three-and-a-half hours. By the time I was taken to him, his severe brain injury had turned into catastrophic brain injury.”

Justice Shirley Watts issued the order on Thursday. Syed's legal case gained international attention from the hit podcast “Serial.” He regained his freedom in September when Baltimore prosecutors moved to vacate his conviction. But the victim’s family said they received insufficient notice to attend the in person. In a 2-1 decision in March, the state's intermediate appellate court reinstated Syed’s conviction and ordered a redo of the hearing.
