The hospital dresses the NICU patients up every year, this time with an extra special treat with newborn triplets appearing as Batman, Robin and Superman. Alongside those superheroes, other patients were dressed as a pumpkin, a policeman, a fairy and a ladybug. The University of Maryland Children’s Hospital is one of the top neonatal intensive care units in the Mid-Atlantic states. The staff doesn't require capes or costumes, as they are the true superheroes dedicated to giving the highest level of care to the most vulnerable babies fighting to overcome life-threatening challenges. The hospital is also celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. As a non-profit hospital, philanthropy makes a profound impact on our NICU.
